The Direction des grands défis société (DGDS) of the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) has officially confirmed the renewal of funding for the NuAge Database and Biobank, as part of the Intersectoral Research Platform on Aging — Cohort Renewal Initiative for the 2026–2030 period.
This funding of over $1.5 million will enable the NuAge Database and Biobank to sustain and strengthen their contribution to aging research, while also enhancing the secondary use of the data and biological samples collected and available within the cohort.
Cohorts structure the driving forces of research in Québec and address priority research needs related to the many dimensions of aging well in Québec society. They provide a fertile environment for multidimensional analyses, going beyond conventional approaches and fostering a sustainable perspective.
